......

It's the heart afraid of breaking

that never learns to dance

It's the dream afraid of waking

that never takes the chance

It's the one who won't be taken

who cannot seem to give

and the soul afraid of dying

that never learns to live.

Make a difference to someone else's life...

Two Friends

TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING THROUGH THE DESERT.

DURING SOME POINT OF THE JOURNEY THEY HAD AN ARGUMENT AND ONE FRIEND SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE IN THE FACE.

THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED WAS HURT BUT, WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING, WROTE IN THE SAND: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.

THEY KEPT ON WALKING,UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,WHERE THEY DECIDED TO TAKE A BATH.

THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE MIRE AND STARTED DROWNING,BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.

AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM THE NEAR DROWNING, HE WROTE ON A STONE: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.

THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND ASKED HIM, "AFTER I HURT YOU, YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW,YOU WROTE ON A STONE, WHY?"

THE OTHER FRIEND REPLIED "WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN IN SAND WHERE WINDS OF FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY. BUT, WHEN SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING GOOD FOR US, WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE WHERE NO WIND CAN EVER ERASE IT."

LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND TO CARVE YOUR BLESSINGS IN STONE. THEY SAY IT TAKES A MINUTE TO FIND A SPECIAL PERSON, AN HOUR TO APPRECIATE THEM, A DAY TO LOVE THEM, BUT THEN AN ENTIRE LIFE TO FORGET THEM.

I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing

Artist: Aerosmith
Song: I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
Far away and dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Well, every moment spent with you
Is a moment I treasure

I don't wanna close my eyes
I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you, babe
And I don't wanna miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you, babe
And I don't wanna miss a thing

Lying close to you
Feeling your heart beating
And I'm wondering what you're dreaming
Wondering if it's me you're seeing
Then I kiss your eyes and thank God we're together
And I just wanna stay with you
In this moment forever, forever and ever

I don't wanna close my eyes
I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you, babe
And I don't wanna miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you, babe
And I don't wanna miss a thing

I don't wanna miss one smile
I don't wanna miss one kiss
Well, I just wanna be with you
Right here with you, just like this
I just wanna hold you close
Feel your heart so close to mine
And stay here in this moment
For all the rest of time

Don't wanna close my eyes
Don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you, babe
And I don't wanna miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
'Cause I'd still miss you, babe
And I don't wanna miss a thing

I don't wanna close my eyes
I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you, babe
And I don't wanna miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I'd still miss you, babe
And I don't wanna miss a thing

Don't wanna close my eyes
Don't wanna fall asleep, yeah
I don't wanna miss a thing

Beware of Mirrors.. Because you never know!

Hi all,

I know it looks like a chain letter but there is no harm trying it and playing it safe anyway. I have read that one before, it was ages ago but now I try to remember just in case I dont want anyone to know what I do in toilet! hehe

~~~
Beware of Mirrors in Hotels! ...Because you never know!
How to determine if a mirror are 2 way or not (Not a Joke!) Not to scare you, but to make you aware. A policewoman who travels all over the US and gives seminars and techniques for businesswomen passed this on.
HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR :
When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc. How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror(i.e., they can see you, but you can't see them).
There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it.
So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at? Just conduct this simple test:
Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.
However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, FOR IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR!
So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test." It doesn't cost you anything. It is simple to do, and it might save you from getting "visually raped"!
This is a really good thing to do. The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass. As a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind!
Ladies: Share this with your girl friends.
Men: Share this with your wives, daughters and/or girlfriend or friends.
PASS THIS ON FOR SAFETY
Dear friends of SADeaf,
I guess most of you have already known our progress into 'It's Showtime' Finals. Creative Power has the privilege to perform
for you all LIVE on Channel 8 at 7.30 pm on the 1st October 2006.
Creative Power has come up with a very interesting skit for this round and we hopes to go into the books of MCS not only in terms of the results, but also to show integration between the hearing and the deaf.
Our team will be S8 (Creative Power). We might have a slight disadvantage due to the fact of being the last team and we have no allowance of calling and SMS for our supporters to support us after our performance.
However we believe that this will not hinder us and we will definitely do our best and determined to put our very best to bring another time of glory to deaf community.
Please remember to watch us on the mentioned timeslot. 1st OCT, 7.30PM, Channel 8, LIVE. There will be special celebrities on that event too. and of course not forgetting my cheers leaders from SADeaf. They got a very very creative dance steps!
Thank you!
So kindly read the details below about how to make sms or call.Do spread this news to your friends! Thank you for your support! thank you in advance!
Kelvin's Sites's Journal on "Our Journey So Far"
A good read! URL: http://hotzone.yahoo.com/b/hotzone/blogs9538
Also see the comments particularly the last one. Here is the last comment to that article.
Ira Chernus, a Professor at the University of Colorado, wrote that November 9, 1989 -- not September 11, 2001 --changed everything, when the Berlin Wall fell and left the U.S. at sea, drifting without an enemy (USSR) in a strange new world. The world's sole remaining superpower was "running out of demons," as Colin Powell complained. After a decade adrift with no foes to oppose, 9/11 happened and Americans returned to a black-and-white world, neatly divided into the good guys and the bad guys. In the hands of the Bush administration, "terrorists," modest as their numbers might have been, turned out to be remarkably able stand-ins for a whole empire-plus of "commies." They became our all-purpose symbol for the evil that fills our waking nightmares. The war on terrorism has revived the Cold War mindset, in which we are all citizens of a national insecurity state, with a recent poll revealing that only 14% of Americans feel safer now than they did five years ago. Many write that the United States reached the peak of its power in the late 1940s. Now with the growing awareness that the Bush Global War on Terror is doing more harm than good, not to speak of the weakening of U.S. power and interests around the world, it would interesting to read articles of how/if folks in middle America are viewing all this. http://grant-montgomery.blogspot.com/
That's so true.... Interestting as well.
Anyway, while researching something for a drawing subject (well.. i suck at drawing.. really! but it was so awesome looking at others' works and it has renewed my interest and enthusiasm in appreciating pple's drawings!), saw that incredible and amazing artist's work.. that artist is actually an autistic savant. if you have seen the movie "Rain Man" in which dustin hoffman and tom crusie starred in or have read that book "the curious incident of the dog...", u'll know what i mean. for those who still dont know what "autistic savant" means, here is the url for definition: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autistic_savant
ok back to the video, watch it below! it left me speechless and in awe of that amazing guy. i dont know how people like him can actually draw everything simply from memory within just a few hrs or even less! whats more amazing is that he is autistic. anyway there are other types of savants as well.. i cant help but be in awe of these people... genuises!!
and here is this artist's website and more info on him, look it up if u have time! http://www.stephenwiltshire.co.uk/
