Just finished surfing Animal Logic's official website (
http://www.animallogic.com/). Happened to come across it (now, why didnt I surf on that site ??? I have known long about that company but never went to its site!) thanks to those fellow BDM students' COFA's discussion posts.
After surfing that site, I realised that those visual effects of "The Matrix" trilogy, Hero and other films were produced from that company! Also, I see alot of Oz commericals on TV everyday without knowing they are also produced from the same one! What's more, I live so near that production facility! And even some tutors once worked there!
Animal Logic is everywhere!
So what did I do last week?
Er.. actually I was more of a slacker but my project classmates saved me from feeling lousy for the whole week. We did some of the works for the 3D animation clip. Its about a little crazy firefly breaking off the Christmas light at the Xmas tree. Only 15 secs long. Not there yet.

A wonderful friend whom I befriended at the Catholic mass a few weeks ago, lent me some movie dvds (Awesome Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, The MotorCycle Diaries, Whisper of the Heart & The Place Promised in Our Early Days).
If you can, do watch FF VI:AC
(http://na.square-enix.com/dvd/ff7ac/). Its packed with mind-blowing and adrenaline-fulled actions and really cool stuff! I wont spill more beans. :p I suggest you guys watch this one.
Che Guevara. Looks familiar? Erm, if you are an avid reader of political stuff, then u will know what i'm talking about. Nah I dont really go into politics that much. I wont be interested in politics unless they are featured in interesting movies. Heh.

Anyway the Motorcycle Diaries is based on a communist revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara (
http://www.che-lives.com/)'s journey and its quite inspiring. After watching it and realising its based on a true story, I went on the net and read up more on him. Actually we all have seen his famous trademark face on T-shirts or any other stuff selling at shops & pasar malams (night markets). I didnt know his name although I kinda knew he was something of a rebel. It set me thinking.. it would be really cool if a deaf person can be like him and fight for deaf awareness and rights. Just to add to this.. Just had a short conversation with my floormate whom I lent that dvd to. Having recalled his speech to Peru people in that movie, I could feel his strong passion for people living in South America. He saw that it would be good if every state in South American could be "merged". My floormate said he's also controversial and lots of people dont support his beliefs (although young people look up to him). I understand better on why some people support communism - the answer can be found in that movie. Do I support communism, you might ask? Well it depends... on what kind of situation we are in. What about you?

Whisper of the Heart (
http://www.nausicaa.net/miyazaki/mimi/)... uh-huh, havent watched the whole movie cause it didnt have english subtitles despite the dvd cover claiming it got english subtitles (lousy packaging!). Its from the same studio that made Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.
"The Place Promised in Our Early Days" anime

was ok.. I mean its storyline was okay but there were nice and colourful drawings of landscapes and characters. It would baffle me if there was a true story about it. Have you ever heard of the tower that seemed to be reaching for the sky (impossibly tall!) and people wanting to reach them as if the tower was their object of desire? (

Alright. How are you guys? Hope everything is going well on your side. Take care.
