Wanted to post some photos of Manly beach, a famous and popular beach that is a 30 mins ferry away from Sydney, here. Its a nice and quiet (hmm went there with friends on a weekday) little town and beach as well. But it will take me some time to do that when I want to learn animation stuff and catch up with my school work. Nevertheless, I'll post a paranoma shot of that beach here.
As for the major project, I have finally done storyboards. 32 pages in total. 4 panels per page. Initially it was to be a hand-drawn animation because I like the aesthetics of moving outlines (not sure if u know what i mean). Beautiful story. Something like that. I can even feel sincerity in this video. Lots of work obviously and I kudos those people who made it.
Now, I decided to do it in 3D. *nervously laughing* dunno how it will turn out, considering my medicore skills but i envisaged it as something that would look nice in 3D. Anyway I just started modelling my main character in 3D. Oh boy, it was quite tough modelling such a simple character, having not touched Maya for a few months except help my classmate in her animation project.
OK. I've also updated my bookmark bar which is at the right side of my blog. I recommend Jay is Games and Good Experience Games if you are looking for a good online game to play. Yes I was guilty of playing those games till wee hours. New found hobby.
Dont worry, I've stopped playing them now that I've realised how much work I have to do for that major project, other assignments as well as read other stuff that i always wanted to read. In case u want to know what stuff i wanted to read:
1) A Hero with a Thousand Faces (i just borrowed it, George Lucas was inspired and went on to make the Star Wars trilogy (not those prequels) after reading that book) Even my tutor said it was good when I was telling him about my major project yesterday - he saw that book. Yeah my other tutor also mentioned it while teaching us the other subject.
2) The Art of Animation (everything on animation)
3) Lighting (Lighting is important. Very important, apply to every area: video, film and even animation). Saw a book on that sole subject, wanted to read it so badly but unfortunately no time.
4) Other good books in my school library. Oh I love these books and umm dvds! in there.
On a last note, I wont be back for a while - I wont be blogging much. I am going to focus on the next assignments and yeah major project. So... dont miss me ok! If u ever do miss me, drop me an email or leave a comment here on my blog. And umm I do miss you guys.
Hehe... Oh speaking of Postcard Pals, I will try to follow up on that during the next short holiday in June. As for the Winter break, I will be doing an elective so there wont be any break in that period. At the same time, I plan to continue that major project in that same period of time.

This is just for the front cover of my project proposal assignment. Oh no, its not the major project. Just a proposal for a hypothetical film festival. Didnt really like doing it in detail cuz it's a corporate kind of thing. Did that cover instead of typing the corporate stuff cuz I enjoy doing visual stuff. :p Downloaded some cool Photoshop brushes at the same time. Hehe it looks like a book cover if I sit a few distances away from it. Alright, enough of the graphics stuff. I better get the proposal done. Ciao!~
