Special Edition!
Very colourful, right? They were the centre of attention at COFA. Everywhere they went, almost all the eyes were on those little beautiful ladies! Funky hairstyles and a cool sense of the dressing.... Wish I could be like them but then I am too old to do this little girlish thing... :p
Oh! There was a COFA Spring Fair last Saturday... where artists or COFA students sold their artistic & creative items such as jewellery, sculptures, paintings etc.
Beautiful painting on the above... I like that colourful drawing... I always like everything that is so colourful! I asked the artist how much his paintings were. Have you any ideas of how much they cost? They cost a bomb! That one cost AU $250! Actually went looking for a little gift for my friend's wedding but almost all the items that were up for sale were simply not suitable as a wedding gift. :(
There were mostly stalls that were selling jewellery accessories. I must say, COFA Spring Fair was one of the most interesting events held at COFA... although it was a small location and I had to waddle my way through lots of people.
After that, I went to attend a good friend's sister's wedding in Gladesville. That was something that I was looking foward.. something that was not a part of my daily school routine.. something that was different and interesting. Something unmundane!
Yup that photo was taken at Gladesville that was about 30 mins away from COFA. I thought I was running late but it turned out I was early. So, I took a few photos around at the church. There were pretty flowers in bloom. In fact nowadays, I see more beautiful flowers blooming. This season, its spring, hence more flowers. Looking at flowers growing in winter/early spring tells me that no matter how hard it is on them, they will withstand it and still bloom beautifully as ever. Hmm I still feel its winter cause almost every night, its sooo cold! Brrrrrr....

Beautiful cake. Erm, I cant show the couple's photo since they need privacy and I respect that. Yup I have taken the photo down - too bad for those of you who havent have a glimpse of them yesterday.
Anyway, I cant believe she still remembers some signs although she havent been using it for the past 4 years (thats what she told me!). Also, she helped inteprete a little when some people made speeches at the wedding. She gave me beautiful and nice-smelling flowers in the end. Oh no, it was not a part of the throwing flowers tradition. That little girl caught the wedding bouquet when the bride threw flowers. :) There was also a dance tradition during the wedding. She said its a part of Oz culture (or is it?). Anyway this nice couple drove me home!
I gave some of them to almost all the girls on my floor since I thought they would love them. It confirmed my thoughts since some girls would lit up and took some of them happily. The smile on them never left them. Looking at them being so happy made me happy too.
Anyway taking that photo made me decide to take more photos of my room since the layout has changed. I was bored and desperate for a fresh change - I kinda regretted not changing rooms. The other side has a beautiful view. Those girls I made friends with during O week switched rooms to the other side. I am the only one staying on this side with other senior and new girls. *in dismay* Anyway, I changed the layout of my room when school reopened. See the next photo....
Yup I put the bed next to the desk instead of the left wall. Yah now you see the 4-brick walls of my room. As I have mentioned before, it felt like a prison when I first came here. But it is now abit cosy since I put in more things. Looks cosy, right? Also, I dont have to walk to the other side that is near the door and switch off all the lights and come back to my bed. On the end of the wardrobe, there is also a light switch and I can just flicker it off when I am on my bed. Hee. I still like my current layout, very comfortable.
Alright, you can see more photos at http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/andrexng/my_photos. Enjoy! Hmm you guys must be wondering why I didnt update my blog regularly. Well, I was sooooo busy with projects that I didnt have the mood to blog. Almost every night I stay back at labs to do 3d, digital video animation & other projects. Oh yes if you want to know how my 3D skills are, have a look at the next photo.
I still feel my 3D skills are basic but I really enjoy learning 3D stuff although there is really a steep learning curve. It was hard understanding technical stuff... When Steve explained 3D stuff, I still didnt understand. It took a while or umm a long time to sink and I got the whole picture. As I told a friend and wrote that line in my 3D journal (that I was required to do), I am going to say it all over again. "It will take me a few years before I can actually say Hey I can do something like the Final Fanasty: The Spirits Within!". Yah seriously.
At the moment, I am going to do 2d & 3d animatic storyboarding in After Effects software with 2 other classmates as a part of 3D animation clip project. Yes, we are going to do a 15-sec 3D animation clip.
Having said "After Effects" software, I had fun learning how to use After Effect software that animates motion graphics that can be either embedded in video footage or be standalone. Almost all my friends liked my 1st animation which had toilet humor. I cant wait to show you guys my works as well. (although I realise they are still a few works I have done so far. :( )
Alright, hope you have enjoyed looking at my photos and reading my words at the same time as much as I have while blogging! For now, have a great week ahead!
