Just a few old photos for fun + Palm Sunday + blah blah + Julian Li's website + Amazing animals

Just putting these photos here for fun... initially i put sis's dogs' photos on msn, then i saw that photo shown above. i really think i was so cute way back! hahahaha i know i am so thick-skinned! anyway that one is unique cuz i dont still know why i stuck my tongue out at who's that photographer (my dad?). anyway when i showed that photo at msn, my friends ooohh and ahhhed.. haha they all said i looked so cute! haha *getting bigger in my head* anyway that lady... clueless about her. even my mum didnt know who she was. anyway i think she was a teacher or somethign cuz i just know that one was taken at my primary school - u see that uniform i was wearing. that was my little uniform!

that was on sports day at my school. actually i didnt know what i was doing when i was very young. i just ran, picked up ping pong ball and carried it to the other end of the grass - it was like being instructed to do that. I didnt even know it was for sports day! blur blur blur.... little QUEEN! haha... think i was 5 at that time???

enough of my childhood nostagia...

palm sunday?? oh its a special occasion to welcome Jesus last Sunday at the oldest church in sydney. Its in the city and its interiors are quite beautiful and it is a large church. glad that some friends asked me to join them for that mass. as for palm, its a palm leaf and its for welcoming Jesus but on that night, we didnt really use/wave our palm leaves for that purpose. no one actually did that!

Julian Li website... hey jorena, if u are reading this post, thanks for that url. i just clicked his cambodia trip photos and was deeply disturbed by what i saw... a sharp contrast to the rich and developed countries... (although I have visited Vietnam) Cambodia is worse off than Vietnam in my opinion... *shakes my head* go to his website, his photographs are great! I see a little story in every of his photo. very meaningful, signifcant and detailed.

hey jorena,

yeah i love to appreciate photographs! I like looking at them! hmm maybe it would be good if you go to a developing country and you will understand and empathise with the people there!

well, i guess it varies from indivdual to indivdual... hehe i guess i watched too much TV (maybe teary love stories or something), that's why i empathise easily with people especially the unfortunate ones... okay u take care and have a great day! Just take your time to appreciate photography!

Andre, my server just alerted me to say there was a direct link to my website from your website, so I decided to visit, thanks for linking me btw.

Thanks also for your leaving your footprint [comment 521] on my guestbook yesterday, im glad ive "altered" your mind....it was a mind altering experience for this chinese boy who grew up in with lots of shoes in scotland and complained about food to his mum (seriously I used to do that).

Thanks for your offer to help, i think sturdy sandals would be great, but only if you come home to singapore to hand them to me as it would be too expensive to mail. Also forward the link to any friends who are well off. Maybe they will donate some money.

Thanks for your post, Julian. :-)

Will take note regarding sandals, it makes sense that kids there need them especially when they have to find some things at that dump. I might come back to sg at the end of the year...

Hope u didnt mind my linking your url to my blog and also msn. Its just that your photos especially cambodia one tug at my heart and show a harsh reality of life so wanted to show them to the rest of the world.

I did spread a word on your site and some of my friends who participated in a youth expedition with me to Vietnam felt the same thing. Hmm, I'll make that link to those Cambodia photos permanently on the right side of my blog, if u dont mind.

Andre, I encourage linking to my site and you can use my photos if you need, in fact anything that gives these kids publicity is my main aim, hopefully soon someone with real financial power can come and help. my photos/copyright are of secondary importance.
